Come join in our summertime fun! Our Summer Camp will engage your child in fun and active learning through hands-on projects and play.
We offer 10 weeks of summer programming beginning June 18th through August 24, 2012. There are five themed sessions for two weeks. Weekly options are available. Every day at camp, children will be free to explore the outside world through free and directed play. They will grow physically, socially, and emotionally as they explore the natural environment, play sports, music and games every day. Water play is central to all activities and children will have regular access to our playground water park. Every Friday is a beach day at the Arlington Reservoir. Circle Time, art and crafts, and movement experiences will be a part of the regular scheduled day. Morning and afternoon snacks are included.

Session 2: June 25 - June 29
Why should our preschoolers miss out on all the Summer Olympic action? Join us as we host our own Olympic fun inspired by this year’s Summer Games in London. This session will have the children participate in Olympic-style activities and sport events like gymnastics, soccer, cricket, and archery that emphasize on teamwork and friendship.
Bonjour, les amis!
Session 3: July 2 - July 6 (closed July 4)
Session 4: July 9 - July 13
Children are exposed to the French language and culture as they learn through basic cultural experiences, art, crafts, games, food, and more!
Rhythm Kids
Session 5: July 16 - July 20
Session 6: July 23 - July 27
Using the curriculum, “Drum like an Animal!” children will take an imaginary trip to an African village where singing, dancing, and drumming is a way of life. A local instructor from Rhythm Kids will bring a djembe (African drum) for each child to play and teach simple rhythms, songs and dance moves while learning about different African endangered animals.
Babylon & “Barnyard Babies”
Session 7: July 30 - August 3
Session 8: August 6 - August 10
Your child will travel back in time without leaving Arlington! Our center will be transformed into the ancient city and children will become a part of history as they see, hear, touch, and even taste what it was like to live there! They will make historical crafts in the marketplace shops, visit and talk with Daniel, take part in games, dance to lively worship songs, and even visit a live petting zoo from “Barnyard Babies” as they discover more about Daniel’s adventures in Babylon.
Monet’s Garden
Session 9: August 13 - August 17
Session 10: August 20 - August 24
Children will learn about the French Impressionist artist Claude Monet and his beautiful flower garden at Giverny. They will re-create the garden themselves by planting, caring for, and finally painting flowers in their own flower garden. We will also incorporate Monet’s artistic style in making over our playground into a beautiful work of art using mosaics!
